If I migrate my existing site to SIO, will my search rankings and backlink assets be preserved?

In SIO migration projects, preserving existing SEO assets (rankings, backlinks, etc.) is our top design priority.

Specifically, the following steps come before the migration.

  • Build a 301 redirect map from old URLs to new URLs in advance
  • Prioritize migration of high-performing pages (traffic and backlinks)
  • Submit a Change of Address through Google Search Console
  • Monitor indexing status and crawl errors immediately after migration

Temporary ranking fluctuations can occur right after migration. With correct redirect setup and an improved site structure, most rankings recover within 2-4 weeks and then trend upward. Backlink assets also point to the new URLs through redirects, so link equity is preserved.
